The contents are organised around 5 sections:
a) Exhibition space (Stand)
A group exhibition from the Fine Arts faculties on the corresponding stand (100m2), made up of the artists selected by each centre.
b) Zabalgunea Space (not stand)
A cross-discipline and cross-faculty exhibition based on a total selection of some 8 to 10 students from any participating faculty. This space will be particularly dedicated to other types of exhibition projects: Installations, process works, etc.
To make this selection, each faculty can optionally send up to a maximum of 7 dossiers of students considered suitable for the concept of this space.
If a student is selected, he/she must be present for the assembly of the exhibition.
c) Showroom
The space known as “showroom” will be used to show works and projects of a more ephemeral nature, such as actions, performances, audios, demos, projects involving technology, etc.
Initially, due to production issues, it is conceived for proposals by students from the Basque Country Faculty, but any other proposal from other participating faculties will be considered, provided that the technical requirements do not make it unviable.
d) Video
Each faculty can send a selection of video works, duly recompiled in DVD format. In principle, they should be in independent 30-minute packages, up to a maximum of 90 minutes per faculty.
- The works can come together, although depending on the production of each centre, each faculty can organise them into independent packages, such as Fiction, Experimental, Animation, for example.
- Once the programmes have been received, a general calendar will be drawn up for IKAS-ART 2011, which will be shown in the spaces dedicated for this purpose.
Each compilation of works will be accompanied by an ordered fact sheet for the works, indicating, the author, the filming date, year and duration.
- Each video compilation will be headed by the name of the University submitting it and the following information will appear before each work: Title, author, year and duration.
